Today i hung out with some friends as well, my friend was gonna celebrate his birthday party at home but no one came, not even me because i went to the gym. When i returned my friend says that we should go to the city, to a bar and meet his friends. We go out and have a walk for two busstops because it's 10 minutes before the bus comes. I notice that I've forgotten my headphones and return home. I go by myself to the bar.

On the bus and tram i listen to music. When i arrive at the bar i get introduced to many of my friend's friends. There are 6 friends to my friend there that I've never met before, which makes us 8. At the bar there was many people. A guy, thin, long, short brown hair and brown soft sweater asks me if i produce sound. I ask, "you mean like sound design? Supercollider?". He responds "Yeah". I say that i have tried to use Supercollider but think that it's pretty complicated. I tell him that at a culture place in our city there will be a workshop with Supercollider and other sound-design programs next week. "Oh really?". He asks me if i know anything about an effect where you play two notes with the same frequency at the same time and it makes a third note.

I tell him that i know that if you play two of the same soundwave at the same time where one is slightly higher in frequency it makes an effect where the waves go desync and it sounds wuie-wuie. I ask him if he has heard this with square waves. I say that if you do this with square waves the wave goes from a very small skyscraper-like square to a full square wave. My newly made friend is very interested, he hasn't heard this effect with square-waves.

He puts his smartphone on the table and starts a music program where there is a large keyboard covering half the screen. "Oh, I don't know how to use this" i say. "What's this app?". "Fruity Loops", he says. I am unable to figure out how to draw notes on the scene so i pull up my phone and start the SunVox tracker app. I tell him that I'm gonna try to demonstrate the effect on my app. I create two synths and choose square wave, then change the heartz from 1000 to 1001 on one of the synths. I put a C-2 at the start of two tracks, of respective instrument.

I connect my headphones, listen and give them to him, tell him to be careful so that no beer spills on the headphones. A person who sits next to the guy asks me if we can change places so that me and the guy who I'm giving my headphones to can have our new sexual relationship undisturbed. I respond to the joke that it will be quick, I'm just going to show something. The guy with my headphones is very amazed. I take the headphones back and put them in my lap. This guy is now obsessed with me and want to be my facebook-friend.

I see Ed at the bar disc and i raise my hand and give him the peace-sign. After a few minutes I go to their table to say hi. Ed & Elli are sitting on opposite sides of the table, eating a pizza. "What do we have here? A date?" i ask as a joke. "A tripple-date" says Ed and nods at the guy who sits next to Elli. I say hi to the guy that I've never met. "So what are you guys doing here?" I ask. "Just here to drink beer, i guess" Says Ed.

I walk back to my other friends. There are no interesting conversations. My friend who's birthday it is has a pack of cigarettes lying on the table. i ask if he wants to go out for a smoke and he accepts the invitation. Outside it's a little cold. There are some guys a few meters from where we are who are smoking a futuristic-looking vape in the shape of a toothpaste tube where you inhale from the back of the tube. The vape has a blue light that is beneath the white plastic which makes it look like the vape is glowing in a blue color.

My friend, Andey likes to talk a lot. When nobody interrupts him he can talk for minutes without pauses, explaining detailed scenarios from his job. I listen and say "yes", once and then. I listen with interest and sometimes add a comment. I think my friend really enjoys when somebody listens to him.

Shortly after coming back i say that it's time for me to leave and say bye to everyone. The guy who i showed the sound-effect to gives me a big hug. I tell him to come to the culture-place in our city where there's gonna be a sound-design workshop. Before leaving i figure that i should sit down at Ed and Ellis table for a bit first.

When reaching the table i see that Elli's about to leave. I think that it is fun if I start talking to her in English instead of Swedish, I ask "Where are you going?". Elli says that she's going to a place called "The Ocean". "What are you gonna do there? Sailing?" Ed said something to Elli so she didn't hear my joke. "I'm gonna see a rock concert there", says Elli. I sit down opposite to Ed. There is a girl who wasn't here before who sits next to Ed. We say hi. Ed says something about the fact that drum 'n base is a good genre of music. I say that i absolutely agree and Ed says something about this woman who makes drum 'n base music. I ask if i can listen to it and Ed opens Soundcloud on his smartphone. The song i listen to is named "Blip" and it's not drum 'n base. "This is not drum 'n base" I say. "Yes it is!" Says Ed, "What do you think it is then, if not drum 'n base?" I listen to the song which sounds like a simple repeating synth pattern where drums are added after a while. "I don't know.. It sounds like blip".

We start to talk about the swedish letter "Ö", which on it's own is the word for "island". "What if you had an island in the shape of an "Ö", a round land mass with two small islands, then it would be an "Ö-Ö"", i say. "Or really "En Ö" (an island)", i say. "yeah, or it would be, just "Ett Ö", says the woman. (ett is Swedish's second pronum, similar to "a" and "an", or french's "un" and "une", in swedish, a letter Ö has the pronum "Ett" and an island has the pronum "En"). (The sound of "Ö" is pronounced between "Eh" and "Uh").

At another time this night, me and Ed has an argument about weather Wo-Tang Clan did the drug meth or not when they made the album "36 Chambers" I say that they obviously did, because in every other song they say something about smoking meth and Method Man (one of the rappers) raps about fat bags of skunk and white owl blunts. Ed says that meth is a code-mane for marijuana that Wo-Tang Clan uses, and i say that i can promise him that they are doing meth around the time they make this album. Now Ed has to search on google.com on his smartphone: "wotang clan meth". The first website that comes up is an article on an internet forum with the title "Exactly how much crystal meth did Wo-Tang clan do?". In the post people seem to have very different opinions. Some think that they didn't do meth while others think they did.

I say that they obviously did, in the intro of the song "Shame On A Nigga" they say "Pass that meth". I say that Venetian Snares probably also did meth or amphetamine while he made some of his music. Ed asks me what the difference between amphetamine and meth even is. I say that amphetamine creates lots of dopamine in your brain which makes you very energized and euphoric, and meth traps dopamine that is already inside your brain which sort of makes you an insane person with shit load of dopamine trapped in your head. "So like a constant orgasm?", asks Ed. "Yeah probably", i respond. "Meth is like amphetamine on acid, or no, like amphetamine on speed". "Remember when we where at this place?" i say, "You wanted to do amphetamine but i wanted to eat the liberty caps which we ended up doing". "Imagine if we would have instead done the amphetamine", i say. "Amphetamine is dangerous unless you know what you're doing", i say. "I have heard of guys that ended up not sleeping for one week and did nothing but masturbate for the entire time".

Later during the evening we start to talk about marijuana and both me and Ed is of the same opinion that it makes you uncomfortable. "Yeah, it makes my thoughts so detailed and farfetched", says Ed. "Yes absolutely, and if i smoke too much i can get panic attacks" i say. The woman that sits next to Ed is now a part of the conversation. I tell her and Ed about this time when i had a panic attack on marijuana that I've told Ed about before. "So me and my friend is in the forest, he runs around as if crazy and screams and the hamburgers we bought end up rolling down a slope. I sit still and feel like my heart is going to explode. I can hear that it beats really, really fast and when every heartbeat comes i tell myself, "I will have a heartattack!!", "I will have a heartattack!!".". "Yeah, that's not nice", says the girl. "You just have to sit it out, wait for the two hours of intoxication to pass", i say.

"But food tastes good, and music sounds good", says Ed. "Yeah, music defenetaly sounds better", says the girl. "You can hear every detail of the song, that you've never heard before", says Ed. "When i smoke marijuana, i prefer to be at a 5 out of 10 being the most high", says Ed. "I prefer a 0", i say. "But if i where to smoke i would prefer a 3". I say. "I don't mean a 3 like that though, haha", "i mean a 3 on the scale". Some men that was sitting next to us heard my joke and started to talk with us. One of the men tell us that he thinks that people should be able to do what they want with their bodies. "If a woman wants to wear a burka, she should be able to wear a burka", says one of the men. I say that i think that some drugs that are now illegal should be legal, but not all drugs. "if all drugs became legal society would break down and you would end up finding people sitting everywhere on the sidewalk doing heroin", i say.

We chat a bit more about drugs. One of the men tell us that he was once on MDMA and Ketamine at the same time and the effect was too much for him so he had to meditate in a shower. I decide that it is time for me to go. I say bye and head towards the tram-station.

On the tram i listen to "Dope On Plastic, Vol. 3".
